I got my little brother an R4i card for his birthday earlier this year, but obviously didn't tell him explicitly enough that he was not, ever, under any circumstances to update the software on his DSi XL.

So when an update came up that promised to unlock a whole world of better internet browsing and whatnot, he of course updated, and rendered the R4i useless.

Now, he's updated it to version 1.4.3E, I've looked online and a lot of the R4i software says it works with that software version, but I can't find any that actually do. Do I need to format the SDHC card or something? Is there any way to even do that?

Any advice or tips would be great, I'm usually good with nerdy stuff but I'm hitting a brick wall with this at the moment!
